A total of 171 eligible pre-proposals were submitted during the process. Following a first evaluation, 60 consortia were invited to submit a full-proposal. The full-proposals were evaluated by the Peer Review Panel (PRP), composed by 30 multidisciplinary, international experts, who met in Paris on September 06-07, 2022. Based on this extensive evaluation process, 17 projects are currently recommended and selected for funding.
The successfull proposal was submitted by IHS together with the University of Bordeux (project lead), the Medical University of Graz and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, for a research project that deals with improving the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias by creating a digital twin of the respective patient's heart and planning treatment on the basis of this. The main aim is to reduce recurrences and thus re-operations.
