Interdisciplinary Research in the Social Sciences Workshop, jointly with University of Applied Arts (“die Angewandte”)

How do social scientists do research? What benefits can they draw from interdisciplinary approaches, and which pitfalls are there? What’s the role of creativity in social scientific research? This workshop gives space for discussion and reflection: based on brief inputs from recent research projects, researchers from the IHS and students from the MA program “Cross-Disciplinary Studies” (University of Applied Arts) exchange their experiences and expectations. The goal is to gain a better understanding of the peculiarities of research in the social sciences, and the relevance of interdisciplinary cooperation.
