The research group examines how education systems can be designed to be both efficient and socially inclusive. It analyzes educational trajectories across the entire life course—from early childhood through school, vocational, and higher education to the labor market—as well as the socio-economic and structural factors that shape educational outcomes.

The group integrates perspectives from the sociology and economics of education and has particular expertise in higher education research.
