Climate change poses significant risks to human well-being, with regional impacts such as urban heatwaves, recurrent flooding, and glacier retreat intensifying in Austria. Despite advances in climate adaptation, the effectiveness of adaptation measures in enhancing various dimensions of well-being (e.g. health, economic and social well-being) and reducing inequalities remains insufficiently understood. ACTWELL develops a comprehensive framework to assess the impact of adaptation strategies on well-being metrics.
