On July 1st 2018, Austria will take over the presidency of the European Council. The Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) is the Austrian TEPSA member and will therefore organize the next TEPSA Pre-Presidency Conference. The Conference will take place on 7th and 8th of June 2018 at the IHS. TEPSA is a research network that focuses on the field of European affairs. It consists of 39 members - leading research institutes and universities throughout Europe. The Pre-Presidency Conference is TEPSA’s flagship activity, taking place twice a year in the capital of the country holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU prior to the beginning of its mandate. The main aim of the Conference is to bring together academics and researchers from the broad TEPSA network as well as policy-makers, media and civil society in order to discuss the agenda and challenges of the upcoming Council Presidencies. The TEPSA Pre-Presidency conference constitutes a major platform for communication and exchange between policy-makers and academia.
