Stefan Derntl returned to IHS in October 2025 as a student assistant in the Social Sustainable Transformation research group. He previously worked at IHS from 2022 to 2024 and completed an internship at the Institute for Marketing and Consumer Research at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Psychology (Work, Economy, and Society) at the University of Vienna. Previously, he earned Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Vienna.

Stefan is particularly interested in the interplay between individual behavior and broad societal phenomena. His work focuses on sustainability, vulnerable social groups, and effective policy design.
