  • Laura Schöndorfer has been working as a junior researcher in the Junior Research Group Skill Demand during Structural Change at IHS since October 2025. She is currently completing her PhD in Economics and Statistics at Johannes Kepler University Linz. Laura earned a Master’s Double Degree in Economics from Maastricht University and Université Catholique de Louvain. Previously, she worked as a teaching assistant at Maastricht University and as a research assistant at WPZ Research GmbH.

    Her research is in the field of labor economics, with a focus on how ecological and demographic changes as well as technological advancements reshape labor markets. She is particularly interested in the educational and gender dimensions of these changes, seeking to investigate how structural transformations alter employment structures and individual opportunities. Through her work, she aims to inform policies that foster inclusive and sustainable labor markets.
