New CRONOS-3 Survey Data Now Available to the Public

Exciting news for researchers and policymakers: new panel survey data from the CROss-National Online Survey 3 (CRONOS-3) is now accessible via the European Social Survey (ESS) Data Portal.

Covering 11 countries, the data provides insight into five key themes of the NextGenerationEU recovery plan: digitalization, equality, climate, health care, and resilience.

Collected through a mixed-mode approach, the first two waves of the survey took place between September and December 2024, capturing responses on various social, economic, and environmental issues. The dataset includes responses from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Hungary, Iceland, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, and the United Kingdom. Topics range from income inequality and climate change to digital activities and healthcare access. Researchers can explore weighted data through the Variable Viewer tool or download files in multiple formats.

This valuable resource will support further analysis of key societal challenges. Interested users can access CRONOS-3 data for free via the ESS Data Portal.
