An esteemed emeritus professor from the University of Vienna and a former scholar at IHS, Eva Kreisky completed her postgraduate studies at the Institute in 1971. Following her tenure as an assistant, she led the IHS's Political Science department from 1979 to 1989. During her time with the Institute, she completed her habilitation on the topic of Bureaucracy and Politics: Contributions to Administrative Culture in Austria, before continuing her distinguished academic career at the University of Vienna. Kreisky's research spanned a wide array of fields, including bureaucracy and state theory, feminism, political theory, and the history of ideas.
Her scholarly contributions and legacy will long be remembered.
