IHS study: Supervised bank account reduces financial burden
People who manage their daily lives with limited financial resources often experience psychological and physical stress when dealing with money. Against this background, the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) examined how the supervised account offered by the Schuldenberatung des Fonds Soziales Wien (FSW) supports individuals in reliably organizing their payments and thereby securing their housing. The results show that users experience a clear sense of relief and greater security by gaining a structured overview of their expenses.
The observations, interviews, and online surveys conducted by IHS highlight that users perceive the service as a substantial relief. Specifically, the results show:
- Lower perceived financial worries
- Reduced stress levels
- Higher self-assessed financial competence
