People at IHS in alphabetical order:

  • Dr. Kerstin Grosch is an assistant professor at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business and post-doctoral fellow at the IHS. She specializes in behavioral and experimental studies and is particularly experienced in the design, conduct and analysis of lab-in-the-field experiments. Her research examines how individual preferences and personality traits can explain behavior under different incentives in realms of compliance and labor market outcomes such as occupational choice or collegiality at the workplace. More recently, she has started researching children's and adolescents' behavior. 

    In 2014, Dr. Kerstin Grosch graduated with a M.Sc. in economics from the Technical University in Dresden (Germany). During 2014 and 2017, she mastered her Ph.D. in behavioral economics at the University of Goettingen (Germany). In this period of time, she received funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG) and carried out two large lab-in-the-field studies in Ghana. After obtaining her Ph.D., she took up a follow-up position as a post-doctoral researcher in Goettingen. From May 2017 to December 2020, she was a researcher in the research group behavioral economics at IHS and acting head from January to December 2021.
