About CASE

The Center for Social and Economic Research is an international, non-profit, research and advisory institute located in Warsaw. It has a wide scope of research interests, including European integration, energy market, labour market, environment, innovation, private sector development, economic modelling, and the transition process in CEE countries, the Transcaucasus and Central Asia. To date, the Foundation has to its credit over 220 research and advisory projects, recently contributing with its general equilibrium modelling expertise to deliver a top-quality analysis of the FTA agreement between the EU and Russia (2008-2009, DG Trade), estimated an impact of the global food price shock for Egypt and Ukraine (2010, FEMISE), and investigated future development and economic potential for the EU Eastern Neighbourhood (2006-2009, FP6 DG Research). Most recently CASE investigated the effectiveness of Ukrainian policies and business practices supporting efficient and environmentally friendly energy use and technologies (2010, OECD). CASE is a member of six external research networks: EUROFRAME-EFN, ENEPRI, FEMISE, ERAWATCH, ARETT and PASOS.
