Philipp studied philosophy, economics and mathematics at the University of Regensburg and the University of Hagen. In 2014 he was a visiting student at Murray State University in Kentucky where he took lectures in economics and mathematics. In 2015 he was awarded with a fellowship of the Honors program in economics of the Elitenetzwerk Bayern. In 2016 he was an intern at the RWI Leibniz institute. Philipp Gersing cofounded a service company called AI.Automatica UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (https://ai-automatica.com) in October 2018 which provides software and consulting in the area of artificial intelligence and statistics.
Currently Philipp is working on his dissertation thesis in mathematics at the department of statistics at TU Vienna under the supervision of Prof. Manfred Deistler. Parallely, he supports the IHS ocassionaly in statistical analysis and prediction of economic data.
