People at IHS in alphabetical order:

  • Milena Wuketich is researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies Vienna (IHS) since 2014, which she already joined for a project in 2012. She is member of the research group ‘Techno-Science and Societal Transformation’. In 2014, she was also working as research assistant in a project at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Milena studied Sociology and Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the Universities of Vienna and Malta. Currently, she is on educational leave to work on her dissertation about implant technology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Vienna and will return to IHS in August 2019. 

    Before that, she was working on several international projects about Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), investigating Citizen Science as form of citizen involvement into science and analysing participation activities of the Austrian society to cope with intense refugee movements. Other previous projects include the evaluation of a funding instrument of the German Ministry of Education and Research for participatory research projects on ethical, legal and social questions in the modern life sciences, and conducting participatory technology assessment (PTA) of direct-to-consumer genetic testing with high-school students in a project funded by the Austrian Ministry of Science (YouTest).
