Henrika joined the Higher Education Research Group in May 2023. She recently completed her doctoral studies in Economics at the University of Fribourg. She holds a Master in Economic Development and Growth from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2018), a B.Sc. in Mathematical Economics (TU Dortmund, 2016) and a B.A. in Political Science (Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg, 2013). Before joining the IHS, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki. From 2016 to 2017, she worked at the German Federal Office of Statistics and from 2015 to 2016 she was an intern and later consultant at the United Nations Urban Settlements Programme.
