Personen am IHS in alphabetischer Reihenfolge:

  • Alexander Lang has been involved in national and international projects on new and emerging technologies, technology assessment, research and innovation governance, as well as meanings and practices related to dying and the "good" death. At the moment, he is coordinating and conducting a technology assessment study on new applications of DNA analysis, cooperating in a project on the perspective of professional caregivers on the "good" death, as well as working on his dissertation on robotics in care (see "projects")

    Alexander Lang studied Sociology (2007–2011) and German Philology (2006–2012) at the University of Vienna as well as Socio-Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (2011–2015). Since June 2018 he has been a doctoral candidate at the University of Vienna, Faculty of Social Sciences (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Michaela Pfadenhauer).

    He has been working for the Institute for Advanced Studies since 2011. Currently, he is a member of the research group "Techno-Science & Societal Transformation"; between 2011 and 2015, he was part of the IHS's Department of Sociology. In parallel, he worked as project assistant at the University of Klagenfurt (Faculty for Interdisciplinary Research and Continuing Education, Department of Palliative Care and Organisational Ethics; Vienna) from 2017 to 2018 as well as a lecturer for qualitative research methods at the University of Vienna inbetween 2015 and 2017 (see "teaching").
