The open access publication, edited by Vincent Blok from Wageningen University, is one of many outcomes that emanated from NewHoRRIzon project, which was funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Erich Griessler from IHS. In their contributions authors from IHS analyze the ups and downs of the policy concept of Responsible Research and Innovation as a funding concept (Griessler, Braun, Wicher, Yorulmaz), report experiences about involving stakeholders in implementing Responsible Research and innovation (Frankus, Hönigmayer) and consider the role and concept of stakeholders in co-creative settings (Braun, Starkbaum). Finally, Erich Griessler and Vincent Blok wrap up the findings of the different book chapters.
