Julia Studencki is the new General Secretary of IHS

On September 15, Julia Studencki was appointed Secretary General of IHS and is thus responsible for the commercial management of the research institution.

After studying business consulting at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt, she passed the tax consulting exam in 2006 and worked as a team leader at BDO Graz GmbH (now Rabel & Partner GmbH). From 2009 to 2015, Studencki was Head of Accounting and, from 2016, Head of Human Resources at the non-university research company acib GmbH.

The expertise built up in the areas of governance, new public management and human resources management are particularly valuable for the further development of IHS: "Future-proof governance structures must be aligned with the optimal balance between the flexibility required in science, legal requirements and the efficiency of administrative processes. A science enterprise is measured by its scientific reputation."
