Course 2012 – 2015

Open Door, March 28th, 2012, 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm, Institute for Advanced Studies, Stumpergasse 56, 1060 Vienna, SRS.

The Sociology Department of the IHS invites applications from doctoral students with a master's degree (or equivalent) for a 3-year Post-Graduate Programme. We offer extensive and intensive training in quantitative and qualitative methods and social research with a special emphasis on theories of social practices. In addition to the resident staff, the Institute for Advanced Studies hosts guest professors from all over the world.

Terms of Admission:

  • Master's degree or equivalent

  • Personal interview
  • 8 scholarships (850 €/month) are awarded on a competitive basis.
