Curriculum Vitae
I am working at the Department for Sociology (AG steps). Since 1992 I am engaged in projects concerning the themes Technology Assessment, Innovation Sociology, Knowledge and Technology Transfer, Knowledge Work, Regional Cluster Research, Cooperation of Heterogeneous Actors and "Combined Technologies".
My research interests are to analyse social practices and processes in different social fields using sociological action theories, network theories and others on the basis of empirical investigations.
I have carried out studies for the Ministry of Science and Education in NorthRhine-Westfalia (Germany), the Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) (Germany), the "Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft" (DFG), the "Hans-Böckler-Stiftung" (Germany) and the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB).
I have been lecturing at the University of Dortmund and the University of Economy Vienna and am lecturing at the IHS-Post-Graduate Programme at the Department for Sociology and the University of Vienna on topics such as regional studies, sociology of work, empirical research, visual sociology, and sociological theory.
