Elisabet Torggler is the head of the library at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna, where she has been working since 2005. Prior to joining the library, she was the administrative manager of the Department of Political Science at IHS (2005-10) and the project manager of the project Lostlibraries at the library of the Jewish Museum of Vienna (1999-2004). Having studied history, archeology and science of Judaism she received her Master's degree in history from the University of Vienna (1999). She has a son (born in 2001) and a daughter (born in 2005).
