Mathematical and Quantitative Methods

Leading-edge mathematical and information methods for empirical data analysis are required in order to offer clients high-end economic research. The Mathematical and Quantitative Methods Group delivers high-quality methods at the interface of economics and mathematics for use in applied research tasks in the Economics and Finance department, and develops mathematical knowledge in general. The main mathematical fields are operations research (optimization, input-output-analysis, efficiency theory), econometrics, actuarial mathematics, index construction, combinatorics, and statistics.
