Activities of the IAO
Member Meeting
IAO members meet after work in a café or restaurant (separate room). One of us is giving a pilot statement, telling about his or her career or a key topic of interest. This way members get introduced to life, work and research of others. The remainer of the evening is for socialising, and inspired by the pilot statement.
Perspective-Event
At least once a year we set up a bigger events, called Perspective, and taking place at the IHS itself. We invite members, alumni, researchers or other interesting people to discuss a topic from various perspectives, and having a perspective on the future of a subject. As always, networking and socialising is part of it, so we provide some catering, and make sure the event is setup in a nice atmosphere. We invite all alumni to these events.
Organisational Meetings
As any organisation, we need to meet and talk about management and administration of our affairs and activities. This might be spontaneous meetings, especially within the members of the board. But we also invite all members to join and help to make the IAO a great organisation. As we are set up as an non-profit organisation every 2 days years we need to have a General Member Meeting to re-elect the board. For in-between General Meetings, they will be announced minimum 2 weeks prior to the date of taking place.
