Notes to Contributors
to our Economics Series


The Economics Series presents research carried out at the Departments of Economics and Finance (Eco&Fin) of the Institute for Advanced Studies. Department members, guests, visitors, and other researchers are invited to submit manuscripts for possible inclusion in the Working Paper series. The submissions are subjected to an internal refereeing process. A refereed manuscript may be returned to the author for re-submission. Authors receive 10 free copies of the paper. A hard copy and an electronic version is required of each paper. Papers should be emailed as either PDF or Microsoft Word, LaTeX, WordPerfect files to Isabella Andrej. Authors should accept that the full text version will be available on our WWW publication pages as well as in databases for commercial hosts of the Oesterreichische Kontrollbank (OEKB).

Make sure to include the following information:
  • Author(s) contact information (institution, address, phone, fax, and e-mail).
  • An abstract not more than 150 words, keywords, Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) subject codes, footnote with acknowledgments, financial support etc.
  • Introduction of the paper should start on page 1.
  • Tables and figures should be included in the text file.
  • Entries in the references should be in alphabetical order of authors and should include: name and initials of author(s), date, title, name of a periodical, volume number, pagination for articles in periodicals, place of publication and name of publisher for books.
