New edition out: Nachhaltige Arbeit (Sustainable Work)

edited by Thomas Barth, Georg Jochum and Beate Littig, Frankfurt/Main, Campus.
The societal relationships with nature have  to be reflected radically since environmental problems  - climate change, the depletion of natural resources, environmental pollution, the loss of biodiversity, desertification  - are  pressing. In this situation, the debate about a transition towards a sustainable labor society has gained new attention. The postulated socio-ecological “great transformation” will bring about fundamental changes for employees in all economic sectors and current working societies as a whole. The contributions of the new edition discuss the potential and problems of this change from a multidisciplinary perspective.
